What’s The Rush?

It’s All Greek To Me!

Who We Are

What’s The Rush is a national consulting company that has helped thousands of young women and their parents understand college prep and the long-standing tradition of sorority recruitment! Based in Greenville, South Carolina, Suzanne Short and Jenni Bryson began 13 years ago with local seminars..

Today, we conduct year-round Zoom sessions that have mentored young women attending more than 60 colleges and universities around the country. Our 2 hour, affordable Zoom sessions teach conversation skills, appropriate attire, how the process works, confidence building and so much more!

Suzanne Short and Jenni Bryson understand rush from two unique perspectives-Jenni from the “inside-out” having been a member of a sorority and knowing how sororities recruit; and Suzanne from the “outside-in” having recently experienced “What’s the rush?” with her 3 college-bound daughters. Sorority Rush is complex, ever-changing, competitive and different at each college campus.

“This is not your mother’s rush!”

Let Suzanne and Jenni help you gain confidence and learn more about this fun college tradition. We want to see every young lady have a successful start to college life!

  • “Suzanne and Jenni have really done their homework! They are familiar with all of the sororities and are very well connected. It is definitely worth the investment to enlist their help with the daunting process of sorority rush.”

  • “Before I attended What’s The Rush I had no idea what to expect from Rush at Clemson. The information I received from the class really helped me focus on what was important and helped me be relaxed during rush.My mom said it was so helpful for her too because so much had changed since she had gone through rush during her college years. She knew how to better guide and encourage me during that week. What’s The Rush really helped the whole experience be better!”

  • “Suzanne and Jenni, Thank you so much for all of your wonderful advice. It was so upbeat and positive unlike some of the comments I have heard from “the mommas”. My daughter said she was so excited and ready to go to college tomorrow. The seminar really gave her a confidence to go through rush. I think you both did an excellent job and you thought of all the details. Really had a good time!”

  • “It was wonderful to meet with you; you have definitely already helped us tremendously in this process. I appreciate you being so sweet to my daughter and guiding her through what is yet to come. Thanks again and I will definitely spread the word of your wonderful services.

Thank you for helping her navigate this process!!”

  • “I will definitely recommend you to any girl or Mom going through recruitment. And my daughter already said that she is passing your information on to her friends still in high school. You can always use us as a reference. Things have definitely changed since I went through rush 27 years ago.”
